Appointment

An appointment is a private or public event scheduled on a calendar that may include other users and details (venue, meeting rooms).

An attendee is a user, either internal or external, who participates in an appointment.

Component

A Component is one of Carbonio CE’s fundamental parts; it is a high-level description of a feature. Role provides a more technical description of the capabilities, as well as the requisite software packages.

Node

A node is a server or virtual machine on which one or more roles are deployed. A Carbonio CE installation includes one Node (Carbonio Single-Server) or two or more Nodes (Carbonio Multi-Server).

Carbonio CE defines a role as atomic functionality made up of one or more packages.

Shared Account

A Shared Account is one that may be accessed by several individuals.

A Group is a conversation with three or more people.

Meetings are video calls between many participants.

Member

A member is a user who participates in a conversation or group.

Moderator

A Group Moderator is a special user who is also the group’s founder by default. Moderators can add users to the group, promote other members, and perform administrative activities in the chat.

A Participant is a user who takes part in a meeting.
