Appointment

An appointment is a private or public event scheduled on a calendar that may include other users and details (venue, meeting rooms).

An attendee is a user, either internal or external, who participates in an appointment.

Component

A Component is one of Carbonio’s fundamental elements; it is a high-level description of a feature. Role provides a more technical description of the capabilities, as well as the requisite software packages.

Node

A node is a server or virtual machine on which one or more roles are deployed. Carbonio installations are made up of one node (Carbonio Single-Server) or two or more nodes (Carbonio Multi-Server).

Role

In Carbonio, a Role is an atomic functionality made up of one or more packages.

Shared Account

A Shared Account is one that may be accessed by several individuals.
